A trip to Prague by a group of art students at Abingdon and Witney College was the catalyst for the college's latest exhibition at the new arts centre gallery in Wootton Road, Abingdon.

Called A Postcard from Prague, the exhibition features a collection of more than 200 postcards which formed part of the students' drawing project while they were on a cultural visit to the Czech Republic and its capital city.

The 36 students completed a number of drawing projects during their week there and were asked to create the postcards to send back to the college.

The head of art, media and performance at the college, Mike Gaston, said: "It's a very interesting exhibition. The displayed images are in layers, much like the city of Prague itself, and they serve as memories of an exciting week."

Lecturer Hannah Kinch, who led the trip to Prague, is pictured with some of the designs.

The exhibition is open until Friday, April 19, between 9am and 6pm from Monday to Thursday and between 10am and 4pm on Fridays.
