One of Wallingford's longest established businesses is to close on April 26.
The Frank H Jenkins garage in High Street has operated as a family concern since 1912.
Simon Jenkins, grandson of founder Frank Jenkins, said trading conditions had forced the closure.
Mr Jenkins, 40, who lives in Wallingford and has run the Ford dealership garage for 17 years, said: "The business rate this year is £26,000, profit margins are being reduced all the time and there is competition from the Internet and the bigger garages.
"All this and general trading conditions have led me to call it a day."
Most of the 13 employees have already found new jobs.
Mr Jenkins is uncertain about his next move. He said: "I aim to have a rest first -- running a garage is very hard work -- then decide what to do after that."
