An anti-war conference is being held in Oxford on Saturday to discuss the ongoing campaign in Afghanistan.
The event has been organised by the Oxford Stop the War Coalition.
It will feature guest speakers, including Jeremy Corbyn MP, Andrew Murray, national chairman of the Stop the War Coalition, Rea Street, vice president of CND and human rights lawyer Louise Christian.
The conference will be held at Oxford College of Further Education, in Oxpens Road, between 9.30am and 7.30pm. All are welcome to attend.
Chris Chilvers, an organiser of the Oxford Anti-War Conference, said: "We were told that the war in Afghanistan had been won, yet the situation grows more dangerous.
"The widespread bombing continues with devastating effects on the local population.
"Meanwhile, tensions between the rival factions of the new government could explode into civil war at any time. This is the logic of the 'war on terror' -- chaos and growing instability."
