An Oxford man has been jailed for drugs offences, after leading what a judge called a "lawless existence".
Dewayne Mason, 25, of Southfield Road, was jailed for three years and nine months at Oxford Crown Court yesterday after pleading guilty to possessing cocaine and heroin with intent to supply.
He was jailed for another year for 18 other offences, including possession of a CS gas canister and a butterfly knife, credit card fraud, criminal damage, common assault and driving offences.
Tim Ashmole, prosecuting, said the drugs were found when police searched a flat in Foresters Tower, Wood Farm, Oxford, last November.
Mason had six wraps of cocaine and four wraps of heroin in his pockets. Five more wraps of heroin were found in the lounge.
The drugs had an estimated street value of £565.
Nikki Duncan, defending, said Mason had only been looking after the drugs for an acquaintance and intended to give them back. She said Mason had pleaded guilty to all the offences and suggested a short jail term so he would not lose touch with his two young daughters.
Judge Tom Corrie accepted Mason was not a commercial drug dealer, but condemned his "complex pattern of offences".
