Abingdon Utd 1, Tuffley Rov 0
There was plenty of action, if few goals at the Northcourt, as both sides created a host of chances, but left their scoring boots at home.
The first strike on goal was the only one on target - and it counted. A long ball forward was met by Mark Simms, who flicked it into the path of Matty Shelton. He rode a challenge to tuck the ball past Newman to put United ahead after ten minutes.
From then on, it was a catalogue of missed chances.
