Witney's 40-year connection with Nepal is being given a fresh impetus by the town's Rotary Club.
Rotarians are raising funds for an aid post, which could be used to help mountain climbers suffering from altitude sickness.
Dr Sandy Scott, a trustee of Pheriche Hospital in the Himalayan state, will give a talk at The Henry Box School, Wood Green, on Thursday, from 7.30pm.
