A new hostel for single mothers has opened in Witney.
The project, Godstow Cottage, was officially opened last week.
It provides accommodation for eight women, and is the first of its kind in the town.
Teresa Harman, Stonham project worker, said: "The aim is to provide a place where vulnerable women can start to lead more independent lives."
The project receives financial backing from the district council.
David Robertson, cabinet member responsible for housing, said: "There has been a need for this kind of accommodation for a long time."
