Thames Valley Police said the blue BMW car had a tyre blow-out as it travelled towards Oxford.

The car left the carriageway and rolled down the embankment.

Three other people in the car were taken by ambulance to the John Radcliffe Hospital, Headington, Oxford. Police said their condition varied from stable to serious.
