The headteacher of Carterton Community College has confirmed a pupil protest over the banning of flared trousers is over.
But several pupils at the college remain suspended following an 80-strong protest outside the school gates.
At least three students have been banned from the premises for up to 10 days after allegedly swearing at headteacher Alan Klee
Mr Klee said: "Everyone is now complying with the requirements and I am pleased to get the support of parents.
"It is something that people may have different views on, but the staff believe it is in the best interests of the school and pupils.
"There have, however, been youngsters excluded from the school as a result of failing to obey the rules and regulations, which include being abusive to the staff."
The crackdown on wide-bottomed trousers followed a warning letter sent out to the parents of all 700 pupils in late January. The deadline expired on Monday last week, but many girls continued to wear them to school and 12 were sent home.
The ban was issued because of fears the pupils could trip over and be injured on staircases and corridors.
