Young people are being given an opportunity to develop artistic skills and learn about Banbury's heritage, by designing a poster for the town's new museum.
A joint project between the museum, Cherwell District Council's animation station, and local graphics company Buzz Design will give children, aged nine to 16, the chance to win a prize.
The young people will be able to use digital photography, illustration, computer image manipulation, and layout to create a poster that will feature the museum and the tourist information centre.
Mark Boyles, creative director of Buzz Design, said: "This will be a fantastic chance for local youngsters to develop artistic and computer skills, while learning about Banbury's hist- ory."
A digital imaging course, at the animation station in the basement of Banbury Town Hall, will teach young people how to use the latest computer equipment and software.
The course starts on Tuesday, May 7, and runs every Tuesday for six weeks between 5.15pm and 7.15pm. It will cost £20. The animation station is also running a 3D computer animation workshop for nine to 12-year-olds, on June 5 and 6.
