Oxfordshire rider Nik Gardiner (Timetrial.Co.UK) won the classic Bath Road Club Hilly 50 with a time of 2.5.19, an outstanding display in the blustery conditions prevailing on the Berkshire Downs
Hugh Beauchamp (Oxonians) finished with a time of 2.28.29, which gave him second place on handicap and second on veterans' standard.
With Geoff Booker recording 2.48.51 on his trike and Peter Whitfield finishing in 2.30.23, Oxonians won the team event with a time of 7.48.03.
