learning lessons OXFORD Cheetahs' Czech ace Lukas Dryml reckons he has learned a lesson following his debut in the Grand Prix series in Norway earlier this month.

He goes into tonight's second round, the Polish GP at Bydgoszcz, in a much better frame of mind, joining Leigh Adams and Oxford asset Todd Wiltshire in a bid to dent Tony Rickardsson's domination of the series.

Dryml said: "I really wasn't thinking when I fell behind Todd in Norway. I should have settled for second place, but I was faster than him and thought I could catch him. It was a shame, but my own fault."

Dryml has ridden the Bydgoszcz circuit before and it suited him.

"I know it is big and very fast. It depends on how it is set up for the Polish riders, slick or grippy. I had a good meeting when I rode there and I must say I would prefer it on the grippier side."

The Dryml family will be out in force with dad Ales snr and brother Ales in his corner.

Dryml added: "Norway was a big thing for me. I was quite confident and didn't put too much pressure on myself. I still think whatever GP it is, it's so hard for everyone because the competition is so fierce. I have a good team around me and hope I can do my best."

Adams is still searching for his first GP success and will be hoping for better luck with the draws than in Norway, while Wiltshire will be at home at the Polish circuit he has ridden for the last two years.

Things won't come any tougher for the Oxford trio, however.

Dryml faces home favourite Tomasz Gollob in heat three, while Adams and Wiltshire clash in heat nine against Rickardsson and Jason Crump.

The full line-ups are - Heat 3: Gollob, Dryml, Pedersen, Ferjan. Heat 9: Rickardsson, Crump, Adams, Wiltshire.

Champ Rickardsson is 9-4 favourite to win in Poland, with Adams at 12-1, Wiltshire 40-1 and Dryml a no-hoper at 125-1.
