A Wallingford man who had sex with a 14-year-old girl has been told to expect a jail term.
Kevin Jacobs, 35, had intercourse with the girl in November and December last year. She became pregnant and had to have an abortion, Oxford Crown Court heard yesterday.
Tests showed Jacobs was the father. He pleaded guilty to two counts of unlawful sexual intercourse. Two rape charges were not proceeded with.
The court heard that Jacobs, of Market Place, Wallingford, had spent three months in prison on remand and was recently put on suicide watch.
Clive Sutton, defending, asked for Jacobs to join a sex offenders' programme.
Judge Anthony King said: "My view is this is so serious that only a custodial sentence is appropriate."
Sentencing was adjourned until Wednesday, June 26 for reports. Jacobs was remanded in custody.
