Eleven-year-old Lara Garmroudi, of Radnor Road, Wallingford, is all set to lead the big carnival parade through the town tomorrow.
She will be joined by her attendants, Nikita Patel, nine, of Sinodun Road and Simone Hibbett, 10, of Hawthorn Close.
The three will lead the parade to the Kinecroft, where the carnival will be held.
England's World Cup match against Denmark will delay the start of the event.
The big parade was due to go through the town centre at 1pm, but the organisers have put it back to 2.30pm so that anyone interested can get home to see the match and be back for the parade.
Judging of the floats will take place at 11.45am.
