An inquest has been opened into the death of a 24-year-old Banbury man from a suspected overdose of prescribed drugs.
Pc Paul Boak told coroner Lester Haddrell on Wednesday that Robert Pearse of Sinclair Avenue, Ruscote, was admitted to The Horton Hospital on June 5, and then transferred for specialist treatment at Cheltenham General Hospital. He died there on June 9.
The inquiry was adjourned to a date yet to be fixed.
