Michael Abram, the schizophrenic who repeatedly stabbed former Beatle George Harrison and attacked his wife in their Henley mansion in December, 1999, is to be freed.
Mr Harrison's widow Olivia and his son Dhani said they had received no prior warning that the release was now imminent. Abram was cleared of attempted murder on the grounds of insanity and ordered to be detained at a secure hospital.
