The Ministry of Defence will begin pulling out from Vauxhall Barracks in Didcot next March.
The Munitions Corporate Business Unit, which administers the supply of munitions -- except guided missiles -- will relocate to Ensleigh in Bath.
The transfer was first proposed nearly two years ago.
This week the Ministry of Defence said the bomb disposal unit, 11 Explosives Ordnance Disposal Regiment, would remain at Vauxhall Barracks in the short term.
But plans were also being made for 11 EOD Regt to pull out from the barracks.
The relocation of the munitions unit to Bath will affect 36 civilian staff, and raises questions about the long-term future of the 50-acre barracks site.
A spokesman for the MoD said: "Any staff made redundant will be compensated."
The site has been earmarked for possible housing development in the Local Plan.
