TRAFFIC jams built up on the A34 around Oxford on Wednesday, October 9, after a collision between two cars near the Islip turning, between Kidlington and the M40.
Traffic was brought to a halt for 20 minutes after the crash at 9.45am to allow paramedics in an ambulance to get to the scene.
The 27-year-old driver of a Rover saloon was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital, in Headington, suffering from neck and back injuries.
The 40-year-old driver of the other car, a Renault, was unhurt, said police.
