Morrells of Oxford Sunday League round-up

Mansfield Road fought back from a goal down to beat Star Royal 2-1 in the Premier Division, writes GEOFF BOWER.

Adam Hamp put Star ahead, only for Mansfield Road to hit back through Mike Bartlett and Kevin Malloy to secure the points.

Meanwhile, in Division 1, a depleted Six Bells maintained their unbeaten run as they beat Oxford Supporters 4-2.

Daniel Morris opened for Bells with an excellent individual goal, but Supporters levelled through Mark McClean.

Bells took the lead again almost immediately when Paul Faulkner converted from a Morris cross and went 3-1 ahead through Daniel Mason.

They further extended their lead when Morris snatched his second. Supporters scored another consolation goal through Danny Ferguson.

Northway took full advantage of a struggling Yarnton Village to run out 5-2 victors in Division 2.

Yarnton started with only ten men, and although they were soon at full strength, they never really threatened.

New signing Romaine MacIntosh grabbed a hat-trick, Gavin Brandram and Chris Baker blasting Northway's other goals.

Star Wanderers Res had to survive a late charge from visitors Woodchip Wanderers to secure the points with a 3-2 victory.

Woodchip took the lead after 20 minutes through Ashley Pick, but Mark Viner pulled Star level with a close-range shot five minutes later.

Graham Reading netted from a corner to give Star the interval lead and Jamie Hodges curled one in from outside the box to extend it 20 minutes into the second half.

Woodchip turned up the pressure on Star, grabbing a second consolation goal through substitute Ben Advise.

The Nelson strolled to a 10-1 victory at Riverside in Division 3, Carl Bloomfield grabbing a hat-trick, Liam O'Callaghan and Michaes Herbert netting a brace each. Ben Moses snatched his first for the club. Jerome Macalmon netted one while goalkeeper Darren Kinch came off the bench to score.

A five-timer from Wayne Desmond helped North Oxford Conservative Club Res to an 8-7 win at Mansfield Road Res.

Their other goals came from Charlie Bough (2), and Simon O'Connor.
