Staff and Fellows at one of Oxford University's most distinctive colleges have welcomed the opening of a striking new building.
The £6m Sloane Robinson building at Keble College is the latest addition to the Victorian gothic college, which has pioneered some of the university's most interesting architecture of the past decade.
Students David Crosbie and Svein Erik Lien are pictured in front of it.
The red brick block was designed by Rick Mather, who also designed the college's modern ARCO building at the opposite end of the quad.
It was largely funded by donations from former students and staff, and houses a 250-seat theatre for lectures and drama productions, a common room and 20 study bedrooms.
