RICHARD Dix, of Oxfordshire County Council, tells us that the council published draft traffic orders a few weeks ago for double yellow lines in Horspath Road, Cowley, Oxford (Oxford Mail, November 23).
As it has taken from February 2002 (nine months), when the problem was identified by the council, to get to this stage, could he now tell us when the yellow lines will be painted?
At this rate, I would think another nine months at least, and that is being optimistic.
No harm in dreaming, I suppose.
