Gary Marsh's title challenge moved up a gear with a dominant win in the second round of the Castle Combe Formula Ford Championship.
Gary Marsh
The Eynsham driver scorched to pole position in the Pre-1990 class by more than one and half seconds, before romping to victory almost 20 seconds clear of his nearest rival.
Marsh, who was sixth overall on the day, said: "The team at Swift-Cooper did a great job with the car and I could have tried to pick off a couple more guys, but it was getting a bit hairy.
"I had too much to risk and little to gain from becoming embroiled in a close quarters battle with post-1990 cars."
His win follows up a second position in the opening round and Marsh, the managing director of local IT software specialists Excel Solutions, now leads the race for the championship.
