Eynsham CC raised more than £1,200 towards their new ground project from a collection at the Swinford Toll Bridge.
Club chairman Pete Jones said: "It was tremendous to raise so much money- there were a lot of generous people crossing the bridge!"
The OCA Division 2 club play on the council recreation ground, but are looking to move to a new purpose-built facility on the Cassington Road by the 2005 season.
The club have secured a 30-year lease on the site, which is owned by the Bartholomew Trust.
Jones added: "We are a thriving club, with a number of youth teams, three senior teams and a girls team, and we've outgrown our present ground.
"The council ground is only a seven-wicket square which is not really enough for the number of games we play each week.
"Phase one is to get a cricket square and outfield that is fit to play league cricket on, and this money will certainly go a long way towards achieving that initial aim.
"We hope to be able to play some minor games at the new ground next year, and then start work on building a pavilion."
