Kevin Baker clanged off a double sixer as Cricketers B were crowned Premier Section champions of the Greene King Oxford and District League - for the second consecutive season - after beating Garsington Sports 3-0.

Baker, who completed a 15-doll haul, was well supported by Barry Townsend (5-4-6), also with 15 dolls, as Cricketers took the title with one game to go in the 30-27, 33-25, 35-25 scoreline.

In Section 1, White House closed the gap on leaders Highfield, with a 3-0 win. Garry Watts (5-5-5) top-scored with 15 dolls.

Despite losing 2-1 away at New Club, Railway Culham claimed the Section 2 title.

The first leg went to New Club on three sticks, Railway hit back in the second 23-18, before New Club took the final and deciding leg 27-19.

Mick Rockett hit his fifth six of the season for Seacourt Bridge, but they still lost out 3-0 away to Plough.

Only a point separates George and Gardiners Arms in Section 3, after they both recorded 2-1 victories against Cowley Social Club and Red Lion respectively.

Kidlington Sports lead the way in Section 4, after a 2-1 home win over Gladiators.

North Oxford Con Club drew level with Lord Kitchener after beating them 2-1.

Martin Pratley (1-6-4) threw well for Kitchener.

Blackbird need just one more point to be crowned Section 5 champs after their 3-0 demolition away at North Oxford Conservatives B.

Roger Goodall (4-6-5) hit his first sixer of the season, and Andy Beal a baker's dozen in the scoreline of 26-11, 20-15, 22-19.

Second-placed Star & Garter dropped a leg at home to Vikings, before scraping through 2-1.

Duke of Monmouth need a point to clinch Section 6 after they beat Marston British Legion 2-1 at home.

Red Lion, Old Marston condemned Kite to their 17th straight defeat, and in doing so clinched the Section 8 title.

Red Lion Brill & Gladiators scored the same number of dolls, but it was Lion who claimed a 2-1 victory.

Top woman scorer Elaine May (3-5-5) threw well for Gladiators with 11 dolls, in the leg scores of 12-15, 19-17, 16-15.

In Section 10, Ray Plested and John Cleaton both hit double figures (10) for Cricketers, as did Keith Bull for John Radcliffe Club, but it was Cricketers who took the game 2-1 in a scoreline of 16-13, 15-8, 9-10.

Red Lion, Wolvercote clinched the Section 12 title, with a 3-0 home drubbing of Team Monarch.

New Club Wheatley are the new Section 13 champions after they beat Nelson 3-0 in their top of the table clash. New Club's Russell Simmonds bagged nine dolls.
