Volunteers are being invited to become the first members of forums set up to monitor health services across Oxfordshire.
The Commission for Patient and Public Involvement in Health wants members of the public to join a network of health groups.
As part of a new system set up to replace the county's Community Health Council, Patient and Public Involvement Forums will be set up for every hospital and primary care trust.
Members will have the power to check the standard of services and influence decision-making within the NHS. To be considered as a member of the new forums, which will be launched on Monday, December 1, call 0845 1207115 for an application pack, or log on to www.maketimeforhealth.org
