Oxford C 5, Farnham 1: Oxford City eased into the next round of the FA Cup with a comfortable win over Farnham Town of the Combined Counties League, but they had to come from behind.

City had their opponents on the back foot from the early stages, but it was Farnham who took the lead after seven minutes.

Their first attack went down the right flank, from where David Kay's good cross was turned in by Neil Grimes.

The goal did not deter the home side as they continued to create chance after chance, but failed to find the net.

It was Justin Lee, from midfield, who eventually got the equaliser, when from 30 yards his shot went into the top corner.

As half-time approached, a run by Danny Wise into the area was halted illegally by Arnie Haskell. From the penalty, Wise sent the keeper the wrong way to give City the lead.

In the second period, chances were still being created, and City went further in front when Colin Simpson drove home on 67 minutes.

Wise's second goal came five minutes later, while the scoring was completed with the last kick of the game as Jemaine Ferreira went on a fine individual run, and picking his spot for goal No 5.

City's reward being an away tie at Hillingdon Borough in the first qualifying round.
