Oxford United's exciting young star, Dexter Blackstock, today joined Premiership club Southampton.
The 17-year-old striker has joined the Saints in a deal that could eventually be worth £600,000 to United if he goes on to fulfil his outstanding potential.
It's understood the initial down-payment could be around £175,000.
Both clubs are saying the move is for "an undisclosed sum".
Blackstock, who last week hit all five goals as United's Under 19s won 5-1 at Cheltenham and then struck twice for the reserves in their 3-0 win over Plymouth Argyle Res, has been watched by a posse of scouts.
Southampton's head of recruitment, Malcolm Elias, the former youth development officer at Oxford, has been a regular watcher and has seen the rapid progress the player has made.
