Didcot, who re-formed in the close season, opened their programme in the Thames Valley Invitiation League with a 55-0 defeat at home to Grove 3rd.
However, Grove were reported to have used some players from higher teams in their line-up as they cruised home.
Didcot had to reshuffle their pack after ten minutes after second-row Neil Webb was knocked out in a tackle.
The home side had some good possession in the second half, with scrum half Kev Wort and No 8 Steve Grant making good runs with the support of the backs.
However, Grove's defence held on to keep a clean sheet.
