Tesco lost thousands of pounds when it was forced to close for more than an hour because of a power failure.
Tills went blank and customers were asked to leave the store in Marcham Road during the afternoon on September 2.
Contractors working outside the store are believed to have sliced through a main cable.
Emergency generators kept fridges and freezers running.
