A man has appeared before magistrates charged with a serious assault at a pub.
James Tompkins, 18, of Cumnor Hill, Oxford, is accused of causing grievous bodily harm with intent to 18-year-old Aiden Knox, at The Goose pub in Gloucester Street, Oxford, at about 8.30pm on August 29.
Mr Knox is in a critical condition at the John Radcliffe Hospital after undergoing brain surgery.
Tompkins was bailed to appear before Oxford Crown Court on September 8.
