ALEX Gavrilovic struck a blow for the older generation when he won the Club Championship at Frilford Heath.
The 41-year-old, known as 'Dickie' to his friends, beat off the challenge of Frilford's talented youngsters to land his second title - ten years after his first.
Gavrilovic followed his one-under-par round of 72 on the Red Course with a level-par 69 on the Green for a total of 141 and a victory by two shots.
Second came Ben Miles on 143, while youngsters Barry Mann rallied to come third after a disastrous morning round of 78.
Gavrilovic, who plays off two, also won the nett prize on countback from Miles.
Club Championship (Red & Green courses): 1 A Gavrilovic 72+69=141, 2 B Miles 74+69=143, 3 B Mann 78+712=149. Handicap: 1 A Gavrilovic nett 137(cb), 2 B Miles 137, 3= S Reason & P Craigen 139.
