OXFORD Silver Machine Academy take centre stage at Cowley for the next three Fridays.

Tomorrow sees the visit of the Wolverhampton Wolf Cubs in the Conference League, with Oxford, who are boosted by the return of Chris Schramm, needing to win by 13 or more points to claim the bonus point, following a 50-38 defeat at Monmore Green in late July.

Next Friday, title contenders Rye House are at Sandy Lane, before a double-header on October 3 sees Sheffield and Newcastle in opposition.

With Rye House, Mildenhall and Boston all due to visit Oxford before the end of October, the Academy's 100 per cent home record will be tested.

The results of these meetings could go a long way to determining whether it is the Raiders, the Fen Tigers or the Barracuda-Braves who win the Conference League.

Meanwhile, Ricky Scarboro, who broke his leg in two places in a crash at Newport at the end of last month, is out of hospital and resting at his Lincolnshire home, the injury having been plated and pinned.

A recent collection at Cowley raised more than £600 for the 37-year-old rider, who has become a folk hero at Oxford due to his exploits for both the British League Cup and Conference League teams. -
