South League round-up: A depleted city of Oxford were beaten 6-2 at Banbury in their Regional league derby.

Banbury broke through in the 22nd minute with an excellent goal and quickly went further ahead when their forwards pounced on an uncharacteristic mistake from Mike Bunce.

City, who were missing defenders Matt Benyon, Alex Cock and Steve Curnock and midfielders Simon Mould and Nick Perks, fought back and Steve Bell created an opening for James Ashleigh to finish well at the far post.

But Banbury dominated in the second half and scored four more, with City pulling one back through defender Will Warren.

Rover Oxford increased their unbeaten run to eight games with a 2-1 win at Aylesbury to move into second place in Division 1.

A tap-in from Richard Beer gave Rover the lead after ten minutes and Dan Smyth then made it 2-0.

Wallingford came from behind three times to win 5-4 in their top-of-the-table Division 2 clash with Ramgarhia Slough at Wexham Park School.

Ramgarhia opened the scoring when Wallingford's Matt Clamp deflected a cross into his own net.

Wallingford battled back with goals from Angus Jones and Richard Pool.

Ramgarhia then scored from a short corner and from open play to regain the lead.

But Wallingford struck back with Pool netting from a short corner.

However, Ramgarhia made it 4-3 at half-time.

In the second half, Pool got his hat trick as Wallingford levelled from another short corner, and Richardson grabbed the winner with a scorching strike from a short corner with 15 minutes to go.

A rousing comeback saw Witney draw 3-3 at home to Windsor in Division 2.

Having opened the scoring when Mike Godwin slipped home a neatly-worked short corner, Witney allowed Windsor back into the game and a fortunate deflection sailed into the home net from a tight angle.

Windsor added a second before half-time as Witney failed to clear their lines, and they posted a third early in the second half.

Cynical fouls by Windsor saw two men sin-binned, but they kept Witney at bay until one resulted in a penalty flick that Steve Bates converted.

After several near misses, Godwin was again on hand to slot the ball through the keeper's legs.
