Lee Steele bagged a goal in his first full match for eight months following a cruciate knee injury as Oxford United Reserves beat Swindon Town Res 3-0 at Court Place Farm on Monday night.

Lee SteeleSwindon had only ten men for the second half after Keith O'Halloran was sent off for swearing.

Steele (left) capped an excellent display by applying the finish to a shot from Danny Brown to give Oxford a 64th-minute lead.

Steele set up Tom Winters for the second goal seven minutes later, the winger beating a defender and firing a superb shot past the keeper.

Jefferson Louis sealed the victory, which avenged last Friday's 'secret' friendly defeat at the Kassam Stadium, with a left-footed shot in the final minute, to bring back memories of his FA Cup winner against the same opponents exactly a year ago.

Oxford Utd Res: Cox, Mackay, Brown, Oldfield, Garner, Brandish, Hackett (Carbon), Townsley (O'Sullivan 80), Louis, Steele, Omoyinmi (Winters 66).
