AFC Wallingford 2, Horley Tn 0: AFC Wallingford kept up the pressure on Seagrave Haulage League Premier Division leaders AFC Wimbledon with a hard-fought victory over their Sussex visitors on Saturday.
Horley proved a tough nut to crack as they held out for nearly an hour.
Wallingford should have opened the scoring through Ray Spence, only for the keeper to save his chip.
As the half ended, Wallingford defender Ryan Hodnet cleared off the line.
In the second half, Hodnet broke the deadlock, side-footing home Derek Simpson's cross.
Spence then bagged goal No 2, tapping home from Stuart Beavons's cross.
Horley had a man sent off late on.
