Oxford Silver Machine start their 2004 Elite League campaign tonight when they travel to the Black Country to face the Wolverhampton Wolves.

And Nigel Wagstaff's men will not be lacking any confidence as they go into the match on the back of two wins.

They face a Wolves side hotly tipped to make the play offs and Oxford will need Greg Hancock to be back to his best after a slow night on Friday when they beat Arena Essex by a single point in the KO Cup.

The Silver Machine will also be hoping Sebastian Ulamek will have sorted his niggling bike problems out so he can fulfil his number two position.

Rafal Dobrucki, who was injured riding in Poland last week, is still not able to take his place in the side and so Emil Kramer will deputise once again.

Kramer rode well on Friday, even beating former world champion Mark Loram.

Wolves have won both of their home fixtures so far, against Coventry ad Swindon, but lost their only away match at Coventry.

The team has a familiar look to it and includes several members of last year's squad, including Mikael Max, Sam Ermolenko and David Howe.

They have new boy Eric Carrillo from America in their side and he has already notched up some impressive performances.

Wolves are the visitors to Oxford on Friday, so the Silver Machine will be aiming to keep the scoreline close to ensure the aggregate bonus point.

Wolverhampton: Howe, Ermolenko, Skornicki, Nermark, Max, Carrillo, Neath.

Oxford: Hanock, McGowan, Fisher, Iversen, Ulamek, Davidsson, Kramer.
