Staff at Didcot power stations raised money to buy two lifesaving pieces of equipment.
They organised a raffle and sold tickets for a special lunch, raising £500, which was matched by their employer, RWE Innogy.
The fundraising effort by the staff at Didcot's A and B power stations was enough to buy two pulse and oxygen monitors for local ambulance crews.
Madeleine Radburn, chairman of the Oxfordshire Ambulance Service League of Friends, said: "Pulse oximeters are vital for front-line ambulance crews to monitor a patient's pulse and level of oxygen in the blood stream which helps detect conditions such as collapsed lungs and heart problems."
