An international portrait photography firm is set to move into Oxford after waiting three years for a studio in the city.
Olan Mills will open in the former Moben's kitchen and bathroom store in London Road, Headington, on April 20.
Last month the Oxford Mail revealed a commercial retailer had outbid a charity for the lease of the shop.
Headington traders and residents were pleased they were getting a new business in the area, where the high number of charity shops has been criticised.
They called for more variety on London Road, to attract more customers to Headington's shopping area.
Karen Stevens, Olan Mills's marketing officer, said: "We have been looking for the right property in Oxford for three years, but not many come available. We wanted something in the town centre, but we have taken one just outside."
The studio will be the 72nd studio opened by Olan Mills since the company moved to the UK in 1981.
The firm specialises in child and family portraits.
