Thame United midfielder Kevin Franklin is set to make his lon-awaited comeback after being out for six months with a broken leg.

Franklin, a builder by trade, suffered the injury last October after falling awkwardly during their FA Cup tie with Farnborough.

However, he has come through two tough reserve games and is added to the squad for tomorrow's visit of Ryman League Division 1 North high-fliers Leyton.

Boss Mark West, whose side travel to local rivals Oxford City on Bank Holiday Monday, said: "It's great to have Kevin back. His attitude has been brilliant.

"He's so desperate to play again. I have had to hold him back because he's champing at the bit."

Keeper Steve Smith returns to the squad after recovering from a shoulder injury.

"We've got two tough games coming up. Leyton are a good side. When we played them at their place they scored three good goals.

"Having said that we had a lot of injuries that day, but we will be at full strength."

Oxford City welcome back striker Colin Simpson and defenders Sam Shepherd and Julian Dark as they seek to arrest a run of five straight defeats at Waltham Forest.

City manager Andy Sinnott, whose side will have to cope with the threat of former Oxford United striker Mark Stein, said: "We need a bit of luck. In our last two games we have hit the woodwork five times."

Joey Beauchamp hopes to shake off a hamstring injury for Abingdon Town's Division 2 home game with Chalfont.

Banbury United will be at full strength as they look to boost their play-off hopes when they visit Dr Martens Eastern Division rivals Fisher Athletic.

Boss Kevin Brock, whose side host Stamford in a crunch game on Monday, said: "It would be great to get a good result at Fisher, because that will set us up nicely for Stamford."
