The national event raised £11m on Saturday as 81,000 people took part.

Swimmers, runners and walkers accepted the challenge.

Duty manager Peter Bullock said dozens of people had taken part in a mile swim and a fitness test to raise money for under privileged children, while many more took part in mile-long walks around the town.
