Teenagers will be able to join in a range of summer-holiday activities at Didcot beginning next week.

Will Roberts, of Didcot Youth Centre, said: "Consent forms available from the Youth Centre will be required for some activities including the popular moto-cross. It will involve rudimentary mechanics and instruction at the centre in Park Road before riders take part on supplied machines at Dalton Barracks, Abingdon."

The event, which will be held at the youth centre, is for 13 to 19-year-olds. It will take place over a three-week period, starting with a DJ and MC session and field games on Monday (July 19) and ending with a barbecue on Thursday, August 8.

Mr Roberts said a wide range of interests would be catered for. Activities will include bowling and cinema visits, five-a-side football and a graffiti art.

A DJ and MC session and field games will be held next Monday from 11am to 3pm. The motocross, mechanics and riding course will be run next Tuesday from 11am to 5pm. On Wednesday, July 21, bowling and cinema activities at the Ozone Multiplex, in Oxford, will be held.
