Australian ace Nick Watkins hammered a superb century as Challow and Childrey sent Horspath packing in the quarter-finals of the Bernard Tollett Oxfordshire KO Cup last night.

Watkins hit the home bowlers to all parts of their village ground, cracking six sixes and ten fours in his 104.

Watkins and opening partner Barry James put on 98 for the first wicket and laid the foundations for Challow's 190-9 off 20 overs.

David Heritage stuck to his task well to take 4-35 for Horspath, who succumbed to 75-9 in reply. Ollie Dimbelow finished with 4-13 for the victors.

There was a thrilling finish at Kidlington, who faced defeat against Cumnor with three balls remaining.

Chasing Kidlington's 152-7, Cumnor levelled the scores with seven wickets down.

But in a nail-biting finale, a dot ball, a run out and a catch off the final three deliveries meant the home side went through having lost fewer wickets.

National Village champ- ions Shipton saw off Aston Rowant by eight wickets.

Chris Eaton top-scored with 48 in Rowant's 124-8, but an unbeaten 52 from Simon Hole steered Shipton home.

OCA League side Oxford Caribbean forfeited their game away to Banbury.
