Oxfordshire put the disappointment of their Middleton Cup exit behind them with victory over Berkshire in the Home Counties League at South Oxford.

Oxon triumphed by five shots and took the points 14-8 to avenge defeat in last year's fixtures, maintaining their unbeaten league run this season.

The top home rink was skipped by Ryan Buckett, who scored two, four, seven and one over the last four ends to run out a 26-16 winner.

The other winning rink was skipped by Barry Lambourne, who went into an 11-1 lead at five ends and managed to maintain the gap to the end.

With earlier 18-point wins over Surrey and Sussex behind them, Oxon are sitting pretty as they prepare for their remaining fixtures against Kent, Middlesex and Bucks.
