Abingdon's two football clubs buried old rivalries to raise more than £1,000 for charity.
Abingdon Town and Abingdon United met in a rare derby at Town's ground, in Culham Road, on Saturday. Money from gate receipts, a raffle and sponsorship will be used to support the new £30,000 Abingdon Hospital people carrier, which should be operating by autumn.
The idea for the match came from UK Local Radio, which wants to launch a radio station in the Abingdon area next year.
The company paid for the trophy and has promised to match the money raised.
The two club rivals entertained a crowd of more than 150 people.
United pulled off a 5-2 victory to take the trophy, presented by the town's mayor, Keith Hasnip.
Abingdon Town's chairman, Phil Evans, said: "This pre-season friendly match was a victory for the town of Abingdon. Both players and supporters came together to help raise money for a valuable local cause."
Next year's match will be played at United's ground in Northcourt Road, Abingdon.
Money raised will go towards another town charity.
