Oxford boss Nigel Wagstaff read the riot act to his team ahead of tonight's Elite League clash with Poole Pirates at the Stadium (7.30pm).

He was not best pleased when seeing the Silver Machine crumble in Poole on Wednesdsay, and will be expecting a big improvement in the return leg.

The Pirates, favourites to retain the Elite League title, were far too good for the Silver Machine.

Oxford are a much more potent force on their own track.

They may win tonight's encounter, but the bonus point looks out of their reach as they need to overcome a 19-point gap from Wednesday.

That would require almost double-figure scores from every man in the team.

We can expect better showings from Travis McGowan, pointless at Wimborne Road, and Ryan Fisher (3), while Jonas Davidsson (0), right off the boil at the moment, needs to show his early season form.

Oxford: Rider-replacement, Travis McGowan, Ryan Fisher, Rafal Dobrucki, Greg Hancock, Jonas Davidsson, Niels-Kristian Iversen.

Poole: Bjarne Pedersen, Krzystof Kasprazak, Matej Ferjan, Anotnio Lindback, Ryan Sullivan, Daniel Davidsson, Magnus Zetterstrom.
