Oxfordshire Senior Cup - Clanfield 2, Rover Cowley 3: Despite playing for most of the game with ten men, Rover Cowley caused an upset with an exciting victory at GLS Hellenic League Division 1 West outfit Clanfield.

The Oxfordshire Senior League visitors got off to a great start, taking the lead after only two minutes through Chris Fontaine.

Rover had Russell Webb sent off for a stamp on Alan Stratford on the half-hour.

But they doubled their lead just before half-time when 16-year-old Andrew Styles turned the ball home.

Dale Mills brought Clanfield back into the game with 15 minutes left.

But Stewart McCleary restored Rover's two-goal cushion, and although Chris Hunt reduced the arrears, the visitors held on.

Kidlington 2, Berinsfield 2 (aet): Kidlington and Berinsfield must replay their first-round tie next Saturday after referee David Boyd-Leslie deemed it was too dark for a penalty shoot-out.

Berinsfield, of the Oxfordshire Senior League Premier Division, opened the scoring after three minutes when Barry Haydon netted from close range.

But Kidlington, from Hellenic Division 1 West, were soon level, Tom Green volleying home from the edge of the 18-yard box.

Luke Holden gave Kidlington the lead in extra time, but then Berinsfield's Brian Rawlings scored from 30 yards.

And as darkness fell, Mr Boyd-Leslie ruled the tie incomplete, and so the two teams will try again at Yarnton Road.

Carterton 5, Oxford University Press 2: Carterton made sure there were no slip ups as they swept aside Oxford University Press.

Jamie Stalker's superb cross presented James Mortimer-Jones with the chance to power home a diving header in the tenth minute to give Carterton the lead.

And the Hellenic League Premier Division side went further ahead when Tom Fletcher celebrated his first-team debut by firing home a shot from 20 yards.

Five minutes from the break, Marc Odom crossed for Mortimer Jones to rifle home his second.

Carterton continued to boss their Oxfordshire Senior League opponents and, on the hour, Kevin Lewis collected a through ball from Keith Holmes and made it 4-0.

OUP pulled goals back through Danny Leggett and Steve McMahon in the 69th and 73rd minutes. But Carterton had the final word in the last minute when Odom completed the scoring.

Charlton Utd 0, Hook Norton 1: Mark Ward's second-half header was enough to give Hook Norton victory at Oxon Senior League outfit Charlton.

Ward struck just a minute into the second half when he got on the end of James Standen's cross.

Hooky, of Hellenic League Division 1 West, were then indebted to a magnificent save from keeper Scott Matthews as they kept Charlton at bay.
