Apart from a slight worry about skipper Dave Lubans, Oxford University have a clean bill of health, with the Varsity Match less than two weeks away.
Lubans came off the field with a minor back complaint during their 18-6 victory away to Loughborough University but will definitely be fit to lead out the Dark Blues against Cambridge at Twickenham on Tuesday, December 7.
Indeed he is expected to play in Oxford's final warm-up game against Combined Northern Universities at Durham City's ground on Saturday, when they are aiming to start with their likely Varsity Match line-up.
Steve Hill, Oxford's director of coaching, was encouraged by the display at Loughborough. "That was one of our best results up there," he said.
"It's never an easy game and until we played them, they had an unbeaten record."
In previous years, Oxford have had a more impressive build-up than Cambridge, only for the Light Blues to deliver on the big day.
Hill said "Last year was a case in point, when we had most of the play but had to settle for a draw.
"We couldn't finish off our moves, so this season we've paid special attention to our finishing."
Oxford should again have the edge up front, but Hill is wary of the threat posed by Cambridge scrum half Ben Dormer and centres Simon Frost and Ed Carter.
The Varsity Match teams will be announced at a reception at Twickenham next Monday lunchtime.
