Sir - I cannot believe you have not had any letters supporting the new sounding Radio Oxford.
Perhaps, like me, most people who would have supported the changes had already switched off, and haven't rediscovered the new sounding station.
Anne Diamond is a breath of fresh air in the morning. Her perky style is refreshing and cheerful.
I always enjoy listening to Bill Heine, whatever time he broadcasts, but I had stopped listening to his lunchtime programme because so many of his callers were boring oldies who went on and on in a negative way.
I admire his patience with them, and suspect they are the ones who have written to you.
I completely understand the station needing to reschedule him to reach a different audience, although I am sure they could not openly agree for fear of offending these people even more.
Radio Oxford needs to find other ways of letting people know it has changed to attract listeners who had already given up.
By the way, I am 60+, but I think it is the people whose letters you published on Thursday, November 17 who are being ageist.
I do agree about the jingles - they are becoming unnecessary, but compared with BBC local radio in surrounding counties, and their commercial stations, Radio Oxford is an excellent quality station.
