Abingdon Town manager Nobby Hayward has received a huge boost after their former Oxford United winger Joey Beauchamp rejected a move to Hellenic League Premier Division side Didcot Town.

Hayward said: "It's great news. There have been rumours that Joey was going to move. But I can catergorically say that he is staying put.

"Didcot were the only club to put in an official approach.

"He's vital to us. As well as his goals he also has that bit of experience. He's been one of our most consistent performers."

Tomorrow, Town host Ryman League Division 2 rivals Brook House, when they will be without defender Scott Davis and Matty Walton, who are both unavailable.

Thame United midfielder Ben Freeman could be on his way to rivals Oxford City if talks prove successful.

Boss Mark West said: "We want to keep him. I dropped him on Saturday and he wasn't very happy about it. But you can't keep everybody happy, there's always someone that's going to be left out."

Freeman is included in Thame's squad for their home game with Southern League Division 1 West rivals Paulton Rovers.

Although Nik Stewart and John Mills return from suspension, they could be without defenders Tony Joyce (calf), Peter Weirich (ankle) and striker Alex Stewart (stomach), who are all doubtful.

Brackley Town could be without Carl Wilson-Dennis when they host Burnham.

The striker, who is on loan from Conference side Newport County, undergoes a late fitness test.

Howard Forinton could return for Banbury United at home to Premier Division rivals Halesowen Town.

Forinton, who has scored 12 goals this term, is struggling with a hamstring problem.
