Steven Houghton and Miriam Valmores-Marasigan
Steven Houghton plays the role of 'Chris' in the famous musical and is well known from his TV roles including London's Burning, Bugs, The Adventures of Robin Hood, Holby City, Doctors and Bernard's Watch. He also has numerous musical roles under his belt.
Miriam Valmores-Marasigan plays 'Kim' and has performed this role as part of the cast of Miss Saigon in Sydney.
Cameron Mackintosh's legendary Miss Saigon is opening at the New Theatre next month in a newly revamped production over the Christmas period. Many UK cities have long wanted to stage Miss Saigon, but for this to happen a completely new design had to be created, as the original production could not fit on their stages. Cameron Mackintosh's solution uses cutting edge visual techniques to vividly recreate the streets of Vietnam and Bangkok, including of course the memorable final helicopter flight from the roof of the American Embassy.
Miss Saigon is the largest touring production in the UK, with a company of over 50 actors and musicians. Set in 1975 during the final days leading up to the American evacuation of Saigon, it's an epic love story about the relationship between an American GI and a young Vietnamese woman.
